Norway Stereotypes – Drawing

Hello everyone,

In this drawing you are going to see the typical landscape that foreings people (like me) think about Norway:

As you can see, there are a few details of this picture that say something about our perception of this famous country. I will explain five of these. First of all, the most notable is the snowy landscape, this is because we think that Noway is too in the north and they are always in eternal winter. Of course, there are parts of Norway always covered with white and cold snow, but they already have the four seasons. Secondly, this is a man handing another man that is over a dog sledding. I draw this because I heard in a youtube video that Norwains go everywhere in a sled, even to school. How cool is that?. thirds, we can see the pond right back of the house. I have seen a lot of pics of Norway in google and some other videos of a famous YouTuber (El Rubius) that born and lived in this place before moving to Spain, and we see a video where he is with her grandpa in a raft sailing a beautiful and almost undisturbed lake. We also see the polar bears beside the lake. Because of the eternal winter, we think that Norway has polar bears in every natural forest part of the country, something like the U.S. with brown bears. What a crazy assumption. Finally, there is a beautiful sky covered with the color of the aurora borealis. There are already some parts of Norway where we can appreciate this spectacular natural phenomenon. There is another stereotypes and generalizations of this country, like all Norwain have Vikings ancestors, but this is a topic of a next post.
